Celery Experiment

Celery Experiment

Students have been busy this first science unit on plants. This week third graders conducted an experiment to see how water and nutrients are transported inside the plant stem.

Stalks of celery were placed in colored water and left alone for a full day.
Student scientists collect data before, during, and after the experiment.
Students examine the cross section of the celery and record their findings.
